Represented a ranch owner in San Luis Obispo in a claim against Pacific Gas & Electric Co. involving the destruction of Coast Live Oak trees, resulting in a six-figure settlement.
Defended a cardiovascular-product manufacturer at trial involving an introducer sheath. Plaintiffs alleged the sheath was defective and claimed approximately $1.5 million in damages. The jury returned a unanimous verdict in favor of the manufacturer.
Represented a California aerospace company in employment matters, including obtaining workplace violence injunctions and internal investigations.
Represented an insurer in the four-week trial of a bad faith action involving a natural gas explosion and fire. The plaintiff claimed the $11 million policy and punitive damages.
Defended architects and engineers in breach of contract and negligence cases arising from commercial and residential construction projects.
Defended a driver in a trial involving a seven-figure personal-injury claim where the plaintiff underwent cervical spine surgery. The jury awarded no medical damages and the court entered judgment against the plaintiff for over $20,000 in defense costs.
